FELLOWSHIP BIBLE CHURCH
Building Meeting Minutes
Saturday, October 23, 2010
Held at FBC, 8:30 AM
The meeting started at 8:40 with Mike leading out in prayer.
Anton Bercich shared the following updates:
- The windows are in! The look very nice and the LORD provided for them to be installed in a wonderful way and according to his perfect timing.
- The roof is in. It is a roof membrane material that is rated for 30 years and has a R38 insulation rating. One open end on the roof work is above the elevator shaft. It needs to be boxed in and weather sealed until the time when the elevator can be installed.
- The EIFS exterior (similar to stucco but with a R19 insulation rating) will be installed in multiple stages. The first step is installing the Tyvek layer which will protect from weather. After the Tyvek is installed and the 2nd and 3rd layers can be installed when the weather is >42 degrees.
- Several contractors still owe the church finances at this time. ABC, Piper, and Oberg construction companies all owe the church money and are still in line to do work on the building.
- The Curb, Gutter and Asphalt will not go in until the spring.
- Anton will be installing the exterior doors this week to protect from winter conditions.
Pastor Mike shared the following updates:
- The Lasko Foundation documentation will go out again this week.
- A gentleman named Mike Bagley is desiring to help out with the building project. He and his partner specialize in getting churches discounted construction work and supplies.
- Mike is going to work on a FBC Building ministry letter with pictures and background for sharing to larger ministries for prayer and potential financial support.
Paul Fay shared the following update with input from Anton Bercich:
- Around 50K still remains in the building fund. Between this amount and the money owed to the church by the construction companies there should be able to finish the exterior of the church.
The meeting was closed in prayer by Paul Fay at ~9:35.
Our continued prayer is that the LORD will be be directing this building project because:
Psalm 127:1a Unless the LORD builds the house, They labor in vain who build it...
Please continue to pray for and give to the FBC building project!
Respectfully submitted,
Travis Thomsen
